DAT[A], headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, USA,. We are known for innovative, functional, and superior quality, planning and design solutions for master plans, campus plans, and singular facilities. Project types range from courthouses, administrative facilities, schools, and institutional architecture, to local and regional government, and Fortune 500 businesses. We manage projects from concept to completion. All project design is a product of an innovative, systematic approach which uses a multi-disciplinary philosophy combining architecture, master planning, engineering, as well as interior and landscape design.
Founded in 2003, SWA:P is regarded has a young innovative international practice whose avante guard work a lunar library proposal, urban planning schemes, bridges, high-rise housing, gallery installations, earthquake memorials and art museums.
The studio seeks to explore meaning within the discipline of architecture. The perception of our hyper paced global reality and its existence is in radical flux. SWA:P' s theoretical position within the contemporary post-information age of telecommunications assumes a timely grounding in spatial praxis. The spatial praxis is constructed off of multiple sophisticated inquiries where the foci of intent is conterminal with research and performance. The studio is a five - person collaboration that believes that the work accomplished in our studio should not be judged in whether it appears or reads successful but be understood in whose outcome is unknown (like that of the future).
